1. IUAES NEWS was launched
A new series of newsletter, IUAES NEWS, was launched. This newsletter contains articles on past and upcoming events, activities of Commissions and the Executive Committee, gains and losses for the IUAES and so on, and it will be published twice a year. Please take a look at the first issue of IUAES NEWS at http://www.iuaes.org/nl/1_sep2015.pdf on “Newsletters” page of our website (http://www.iuaes.org). Members are urged to actively participate in the publication of this newsletter by providing information about events, conferences, workshops, jobs, etc.
2. Vital Commission News was sent to Commission chairs
Vital Commission News was sent by Heather O’Leary, new Head of the Council of Commissions, to all chairs and deputy chairs of IUAES Commissions on September 1, 2015. The News contains important information about seed funding for Commissions, a special status given to Commission panels at congresses, collection of fees for Commissions and other topics and asks for feedback from Commissions. If you are a member of an IUAES Commission, please inquire about Vital Commission News with the chairs of your Commission.
3. The minutes of the General Assembly meeting are now available
The minutes of the meeting of the General Assembly held at the Inter-Congress 2015 on July 16, 2015, are now available at http://www.iuaes.org/minutes/bangkok2015.html on “Minutes and Reports” page of our website. Item 10 of the minutes reports on the consolidation of relationship between IUAES and WCAA.
4. WCAA started a quarterly newsletter
The WCAA has started a quarterly newsletter. It contains rich information from anthropological associations of the world. The first issue is available on the WCAA’s home page (http://www.wcaanet.org/downloads/informativo/WCAA_informativo_0815.pdf) and also on “World Anthropologies” page of our website (http://www.iuaes.org/world/index.html).
5. Call for panels for Inter-Congress 2016 will close on September 30, 2015
The deadline of the call for panels for Inter-Congress 2016 in Dubrovnik is approaching. Please submit your panel proposal at http://iuaes2016.com/submit-panel/ after signing up at http://iuaes2016.com/sign-up/ on the website of the Inter-Congress 2016 (http://iuaes2016.com/).
6. A book discount for IUAES members
